The Roblox numbers, and where each one comes from.

The DevEx rate, the marketplace fee, what share of a sale you keep, and how Creator Rewards pays. Every figure below was read off Roblox's own documentation and links back to the page it came from, so you can check any line rather than take ours for it.

Cashing out: the DevEx rate

DevEx converts Earned Robux into money. Earned Robux is the balance from sales and rewards, not Robux you bought.

Standard rate
$0.0038 per Earned Robux
Roblox states it as $114 for 30,000 Earned Robux. [1]
Minimum to cash out
30,000 Earned Robux
The smallest balance you can submit a DevEx request for, worth $114 at the standard rate. [1]
United States 18+ rate
$0.0054 per Earned Robux
A higher rate, in force since 8 June 2026, on Earned Robux from developer products, passes, subscriptions and private servers bought by players in the United States who have verified they are 18 or older by facial age estimation or government ID. The game has to qualify on its avatar format too, and the rule that catches most games is the blunt one: if a player can spawn into or swap to an R6 avatar at any point during play, it is not eligible. Check the full format list before counting on this rate. [2]
Older balances
$0.0035 per Earned Robux
Earned Robux banked before 5 September 2025 at 10am Pacific cashes out at the rate that was in force then, not the current one. [1]
Who can join
13 and over
Plus a Roblox-verified email address, a DevEx portal account, an IRS form W-9 for United States taxpayers or W-8 otherwise, and an account in good standing. [1]

What you keep on a sale

The share of the Robux or the money a buyer spends that reaches you.

Passes and developer products
70%
You receive 70% of the Robux spent. The other 30% is Roblox's marketplace fee. [3]
Subscriptions priced in Robux
70% every month
The same share every month the subscription runs. [5]
Subscriptions priced in local currency
70%, then 100%
70% of the subscription value in the first month, and 100% from the second month onward. Prices are fixed: $2.99, $4.99, $7.99, $9.99 or $14.99. Selling in local currency needs an account verified by ID or phone number. [5]
Creator Store assets sold for money
100% of net proceeds
Plugins and models priced in real money skip the marketplace fee and the DevEx rate; only taxes and payment processing are taken out. [3]

Avatar marketplace commissions

Selling an avatar item splits into two roles, creator and seller, and one person can hold both.

Sold in the marketplace
30% to the creator
The base commission on an avatar item bought from the marketplace itself. [4]
Sold inside a game
30% creator, 40% seller
Sell your own item inside a game you own and you take both shares, so 70% of the Robux spent. [4]
Progressive share above the price floor
30% at the floor
Pricing above the item's floor raises the creator's share: 30% at the floor, 50% at twice the floor, 69% at five times it. Marketplace purchases only, and in-game purchases stay on the base 30%. [4]
Upload fee
80 Robux
Charged per submission for a standard avatar asset. [4]

Creator Rewards

Robux paid for engagement rather than for a sale. It replaced Engagement-Based Payouts and the Creator Affiliate programme.

Daily Engagement Rewards
5 Robux per player per day
Paid when your game is one of the first three an Active Spender launches that day and they play it for ten minutes or more. [6]
Active Spender
$9.99 in 60 days
A player who has made qualifying purchases totalling at least $9.99 anywhere on Roblox in the past 60 days, and who was not a new or reactivated player during those 60 days. Only their sessions earn the reward. [6]
Who is enrolled
Every creator
Daily Engagement Rewards has run for all creators since 24 July 2025, with no sign-up. [6]
Audience Expansion Rewards
ID-verified only
The second half of Creator Rewards needs an ID-verified account in good standing and a valid DevEx account. [6]
