Unity 6.6 shipped on 1 September as the final supported release before the 6.7 LTS. The Compute Light Baker is the headline for graphics teams; the Built-In Render Pipeline and dynamic batching deprecations are the headline for everyone else.
Unity 6.6 shipped on 1 September 2026 as the last supported release before the 6.7 LTS. If your project is on Unity 6.0 LTS, whose support ends in October 2026, this is the upgrade to plan.
The Built-In Render Pipeline is deprecated — supported through the 6.7 LTS lifecycle, but URP and HDRP are the future. Dynamic batching is deprecated too; use the SRP Batcher. If you still ship on Built-In, the migration question is now "when", not "whether".
On 6.0 LTS, pick 6.6 or wait for 6.7 LTS — and put the render-pipeline question on the same agenda. On 6.3–6.5, upgrade at your next content milestone. On Built-In, sketch the URP migration now.
